AirSWIFT is a Filipino-owned boutique airline, providing domestic and non-domestic scheduled services. The airline offers daily round-trip flights from Manila to El Nido and Cebu to El Nido and Manila to Sicogon. AirSWIFT also serves the aircraft transportation requirements of its affiliated company, El Nido Resorts.
The airline was founded in 2002, starting operations using three Dornier 228 aircraft. AirSwift was branded as 'Island Transvoyager' when it started operating in 2002. The aircraft were all replaced in 2013 by ATR 42-600s. In 2015, the airline rebranded and became AirSWIFT, which is what it's known as today. Throughout its history, the airline has remained committed to providing passengers with a world-class, seamless and hassle-free travel experience.
As a standard, all passengers are allowed to bring at least 1 personal item e.g. backpack, tote bag or laptop case.
All passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on baggage, which must fit in the overhead-bins and weigh less than 7kg. The maximum dimensions are 18 inches (length), by 13.5 inches (width) and 9 inches (depth).
AirSWIFT carry-on baggage allowance will vary according to the ticket purchased. Premium and Value customers are permitted 10kg of checked baggage. Budget and Promo customers have no checked baggage allowance, although passengers can purchase prepaid checked baggage. Adding extra baggage can be done at the time of booking, or up to four hours prior to scheduled departure, by contacting our customer service team.
The airline has one class of service, Economy. The onboard experience will be very similar for all passengers, however, there are a number of fare upgrades available, which determines whether a number of travel benefits (such as baggage allowance) will be included in the price of the ticket.
When you make your booking through Alternative Airlines, all fare options will be explained, allowing you to choose the right option for you. You can find out more about ‘fare families’ here.
Depending on the route, the four fares available in Economy are as follows:
The Promo Fare – includes fare only (only available seasonally, and on specific routes).
The Budget Fare – includes fare only but available year round but with limited seats.
The Value Fare – includes fare + 10kg free baggage allowance, available year round.
The Premium Fare – includes fare + 10kg free baggage allowance, available year round.
Seats are comfortable, with padded headrests, with fold-down trays and adjustable over-head lights. Seats are arranged in a 2-2.
The airline only operates short-haul domestic flights, so does not provide inflight entertainment. Passengers are welcome to download their own entertainment onto personal digital devices before flying. These can be used once in-flight, as long as the device remains in flight mode.
Onboard Wifi is not currently available on AirSWIFT flights.
