Air Senegal is the new national airline and flag-carrier for Senegal, created in 2016 to replace bankrupt carrier Senegal Airlines.
The airline has aimed to become the leader in West African air transport and serve both domestic and international routes. The Senegal airline is based at Blaise Diagne International Airport.
Air Senegal has different baggage policies depending on where you're flying from and the cabin class your travel in.
Checked baggage cannot be heavier than 23kg. For domestic flights, passengers are entitled to one piece of baggage. For international flights, passengers can check-in with two pieces of baggage. However, passengers flying to and from Abidjan and Cotonou are only allowed with two baggage without weighing over 20kg per bag.
Air Senegal passengers must check in at the airport. Please allow enough time for arrival at the airport before your flight departure.
On international flights, Air Senegal opens the airport check in desk 3 hours prior to the flight departure time and closes 1.5 hours before the flight departure time.
On domestic flights, Air Senegal opens the airport check in kiosk 2 hours prior to the flight departure time and closes 1 hour before departure.
The Airbus A330neo aircraft will be equipped with wifi connectivity. The aircraft will be deployed on routes from West Africa to Europe.
The Senegalese airline does not offer a frequent flyer programme.
Air Senegal is not a member of any airline alliance.

Air Senegal allows pregnant women to travel up until the 36th week of pregnancy as long as they present a medical certificate stating the expected date of delivery and if the pregnant women is fit to fly.
Air Senegal offers an escort service for unaccompanied minors. Children aged between 5 and 11 years are allowed to travel solo as long as they have the necessary documents and parent/guardian authorisation.
