About Air Premia

Air Premia is a South Korean airline that offers both international and domestic services but with a particular focus on long-haul routes. The airline is based at Gimpo International Airport (GMP) and offers domestic flights in South Korea.

Air Premia was established in 2017 under the name AP Air. A year later the airline renamed itself Air Premia, which it now operates today. The airline launched flights in August 2021, with its first flight flying from Seoul to Jeju. The airline has long-term goals to serve destinations in Southeast Asia, North America and Europe and, with the expansion, would like to fly out of Incheon International Airport.

Air Premia Baggage Allowance

Air Premia's baggage allowances will differ depending on the fare and cabin class that you purchase.

Carry-on Baggage

  • In Economy Class, you're given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 1 bag at 10kg.
  • In Premium Economy, you're given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 2 bags at 10kg per bag.
  • Carry-on baggage must fit within the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm.

Checked Baggage

  • Free checked baggage allowances differ depending on where you're flying to.
  • On domestic flights, the sum of all 3 sides of the bag must equal less than 203 cm (80").
  • On international flights, the sum of all 3 sides of the bag must equal less than 158 cm (62.2")

Domestic

  • In Economy Class, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 1 bag at 20 kg (44 lbs).
  • In Premium Economy, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 1 bag at 30 kg (66 lbs).

Flights to Northeast/Southeast Asia

  • In Economy Class, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 1 bag at 23 kg (51 lbs)
  • In Premium Economy, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 2 bags at 23 kg (51 lbs) each.

Flights to Americas

  • In Economy Class, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 2 bags at 23 kg (51 lbs) each.
  • In Premium Economy, you're given a free checked baggage allowance of 2 bags at 32 kg (71 lbs) each.

Excess Baggage

  • Air Premia has the right to charge you for baggage that surpasses the free baggage allowance. The extra baggage fee will start from 60,000 won.
  • Due to international health and safety regulations, your checked baggage limit is 32kg.

Air Premia Cabin Classes

Air Premia has two different cabins — Economy Class and Premium Economy.

Economy Class

  • The Economy Class is the airline's standard cabin for those who are happy to fly without the added extras.
  • The cabin has 2 different fares that you can buy — Lite and Flex. The Flex fare gives you more flexibility around cancellations and changes with your booking.

Economy Seats

  • Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation and have a length of 89 cm (35").

Premium Economy

  • Premium Economy, also known as the Premia 42 class, is a great cabin if you're looking for seats with extra room, priority boarding and a bit of attention to detail during your flight.

  • Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation and have a length of 106 cm (43").

Air Premia Check-In

With Air Premia, you can check in online or at the airport. Opening and closing times vary.

Online Check-in

  • You can check in online on the Air Premia online check-in page. To complete online check-in, you must enter your name and reservation number when asked.
  • Online check-in is open from 24 hours up until 1 hour before scheduled flight departure time.

Airport Check-in

  • You can also check in at the airport by visiting the airline check-in desk with your e-ticket and any necessary travel documents.

Air Premia In-Flight Entertainment

Each seat will have FUL HD touch screens which allow passengers to stream the latest films and TV programmes. Air Premia flights can also listen to Air Premia's recommend music. Please note that the services available on-board Air Premia flights will vary depending on the route.

Air Premia WiFi

Air Premia passengers can purchase WiFi onboard. Free Wi-Fi is available for 1 hour and only for messaging apps. If you need to use Wi-Fi for longer (or need to access the web, social media, video streaming, etc), there are 3 packages you can choose from:

  • Full Flight Chat - Unlimited Wi-Fi for messaging apps only. Costs $5.95 USD.
  • 3 Hours Internet - Access to messaging apps, social media, video streaming, etc. for 3 hours. Costs $16.95 USD.
  • Full Flight Internet - Unlimited Wi-Fi access to messaging apps, social media, video streaming, etc. throughout the entirety of your journey. Costs $29.95 USD.

Depending on your Air Premia route, food and drink may be available during your flight.

Economy Food & Drink

  • Water and hot drinks are complimentary on all routes. Alcohol can be purchased from the in-flight menu.
  • For flights to Northeast Asia, snacks are available to purchase from the in-flight menu.
  • For flights to Southeast Asia, a Korean, Western or local dish will be served.
  • For flights to the Americas and Europe, 2 meals are served (Korean, Western or local).

Premium Economy Food & Drink

  • Water, hot drinks, juice and alcohol are complimentary on all Premium Economy routes.
  • For flights to Northeast and Southeast Asia, a choice of a Korean, Western or local dish will be served.
  • For flights to the Americas and Europe, you will be served 2 hot meals (Korean, Western or local).

Premia Membership

  • The Premia Membership programme allows members to earn and spend points on flights as well as additional services or cabin upgrades.
  • There are 3 tiers to the Air Premia membership: Blue members, Gold members and Diamond members. The more you spend with Air Premia the more benefits you'll receive. Diamond members are entitled to a number of advantages including priority baggage, priority boarding, seat upgrade, free seat selection, free extra checked baggage and many more.

Special Assistance

Air Premia offers a number of special services to accommodate to their passengers' needs. Please don't hesitate to contact the airline if you require any special assistance.

Travelling whilst Pregnant

  • Air Premia allows women less than 32 weeks pregnant to travel as normal. Between the 32nd and 37th week of pregnancy, Air Premia will allow pregnant women to travel as long as they present a medical certificate stating that they are fit to fly and the date of expectancy. The medical certificate must be within 7 days of travel. From the 37th week of pregnancy, Air Premia doesn't allow pregnant women to travel.

Unaccompanied Minors

  • Air Premia allows children between the ages of 5 and 12 to travel alone. Children will be assisted with the check-in and boarding by a staff member before being handed over to the Air Premia cabin crew.

Wheelchair Assistance

  • If you or a member of your party require a wheelchair please Contact Us. We'll inform Air Premia, that you'll require a wheelchair for your airport journey.

Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport, or Seoul–Incheon International Airport, is an international airport in South Korea and the hub airport for Air PREMIA. Incheon International is the main airport in South Korea and one of the biggest in the world by size and passenger traffic.

The airport is unique in the fact that it has interesting facilities outside of the norm. These facilities include the likes of a casino, a golf course, a spa and a museum. Seoul–Incheon International Airport opened in 2001 and was built to replace the old Gimpo International Airport as the main international airport in South Korea.

Air Premia flies out of Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport.

Incheon International Airport is also a hub for a number of different airlines, including Air Seoul, Asiana Airlines, Eastar Jet, Jeju AirJin Air and Korean Air.

The airline also uses Gimpo International Airport as its domestic hub. This was the first airport that the airline flew from and the main airport that it uses upon launching flights.

  • Air Premia's Boeing 787-9 offers two cabin class configurations: Economy and Premium Economy.
  • Up to 264 Economy seats and 56 Premium Economy seats are available on the Boeing 787-9
  • The Dreamliner is ideal for providing passenger comfort and long-range routes. It has a greater range than its predecessor, the 787-8, allowing it to fly longer distances without refuelling.
