Initially, they'll operate regional routes from bases in Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay and Denver. At launch, Air Cahana will operate Pilatus PC-12s, before upgrading to sustainably powered ATRs. Their planes will be powered by ZeroAvia's technology, which uses hydrogen fuel cells to create electricity, producing almost no emissions. Their first engine, for 9–19 seat planes, is expected to be available by 2025, with a range of 300 nautical miles. By 2027, they aim to extend this to 700 miles for 40–80 seat aircraft.
