Precision Air is based at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The airline operates a number of domestic flights throughout Tanzania, as well as to other parts of Africa. Overall, Precision air flies to more than 15 destinations.
The airline was founded in 1991 but didn't begin flying until 1993. In its first few months of operations, Precision Air offered private charter flights only. However, later in the same year, it began scheduled services and has offered a mixture of charter and scheduled flights since.

The baggage allowance for both carry-on and checked baggage on flights with Precision Air is straightforward.
Passengers are permitted one item of carry-on baggage, weighing a maximum of 7 kg (15.4 lbs) and measuring a maximum of 55 cm (21.6") x 38 cm (14.9") x 20 cm (7.8"). In addition, passengers are permitted one small personal item such as a coat, walking stick, laptop, camera or handbag.
Please don't pack any prohibited items in your carry-on baggage such as liquids over 100ml, sharp objects and flammable liquids. Any prohibited items will be removed and disposed of by airport security.
Passengers travelling in Economy Class on any route (including domestically within Tanzania, or internationally) are permitted 23 kg (50.7 lbs) of free checked baggage.
Infants who are not occupying their own seat are permitted 10 kg (22 lbs) of baggage, plus a collapsible stroller.
The only cabin class available on flights with Precision Air is Economy Class.
Economy Class is the only cabin class that Precision Air currently offers. Passengers are sat in comfortable seats that are set out in a 2 x 2 formation, ensuring that each passenger is sat by either the window or aisle.
Passengers are served light refreshments during the flight. Precision Air doesn't offer in-flight entertainment, however, if you're looking for a low-cost airline and skip all the fancy offerings, then Precision Air is the perfect airline choice for you.

Precision Air passengers can check-in online for their Precision Air flight on the online check-in page. From there, passengers must enter their PNR number and name to begin check-in. Online check-in opens 48 hours before the scheduled flight departure time and closes two hours before.
Passengers who do not check-in online must check-in at the airport.
Passengers can also check-in at the airport. Airport check-in can be completed by visiting one of the airport check-in desks at the airport departure hall. The airline check-in area should be clearly marked with the airline name and logo, the location should be indicated on the airport departure information board.
Airport check-in must be completed at least 1 hour before domestic flights and 2 hours before regional or international flights.

Paa Royal is the frequent flyer program for Precision Air and for several companies within Tanzania. Members can earn points on all Precision Air flights, as well as on partner airlines and by using any of the airline's partner companies. Points can be used to purchase flight tickets, as well as goods and services from Precision Air's partner companies.
Upon enrollment, members will be given their unique Paa Royal number, which they must always show when buying tickets as well as when checking - in at the airport. After flying three times and above members will be given a Jade membership card. With the card, they'll be recognized as members of the Paa Royal Program.

The airport has two runways and can handle nearly four million passengers per year.
Julius Nyerere International Airport has 3 terminals. Terminal 1 is the smallest and handles all chartered and private flights. Terminal 2 is used for domestic and regional scheduled flights. This terminal has a capacity of handling 1.5 million. Terminal 3 opened in 2019 and it used for international flights.
As well as Precision Air, Julius Nyerere International is also the hub airport for Air Tanzania and Flightlink. Other airlines which use Julius Nyerere International Airport include EgyptAir, Kenya Airways, Auric Air, Malawian Airlines (Air Malawi), RwandAir and more.
As of November 2022, Precision Air's fleet consists of ATR 42-500s, 42-600s and 72-500s. Each of these aircraft can carry between 50-70 passengers, making them ideal for regional and domestic flights around Tanzania.
The airline previously used ATR 42-320s, Boeing 737-300s and Bombardier Dash 8s.
