Calm Air is a Canadian airline that offers regional flights. The airline is based at Winnipeg Airport and offers flights to destinations within the naturally beautiful territories of Manitoba and Nunavut. Overall, the airline flies to more than 10 destinations within Canada.
The airline launched in 1962 and initially flew as a charter airline. In 1969, it launched scheduled passenger flights, offering flights between destinations throughout Manitoba. In the mid-1970s, Calm Air took over a number of flights from the now-defunct Canadian airline, Transair. This marked a significant period of growth for the airline, as it expanded its route network into the northwestern territories of Canada.
Today, the airline offers a mix of scheduled and charter passengers flights, as well as cargo services.
The airline codeshare agreements with Canadian North and First Air.
